My name is Waheed Ahmad, and I am a committed lecturer and researcher in the Department of Biological Science, Virtual University of Pakistan. My intrigue in the secrets of our genes started during my MPhil studies in Molecular Biology at Quaid-I-Azam University. Now, I specialize in researching rare genetic disorders common in the Pakistani population.
Undeniably, research can be complex, but the outcomes are always rewarding. Using the most recent molecular biology techniques, I investigate genetic mutations that trigger these rare disorders. Each new discovery brings us one step closer to understanding these diseases, and gives us hope for developing new treatments in the future.
Apart from research, I am actively engaged in teaching. I find immense satisfaction in imparting knowledge about molecular biology to my students, and I always strive to use my real-world research experiences to make classroom learning more practical and insightful.
As an educator and a scholar, I believe that the journey of science and learning never stops. Every answered question paves the way for new inquiries, and this ceaseless cycle of curiosity is what keeps me going. I am wholeheartedly committed to furthering this exploration, and to fostering the development of future minds that will carry this torch even further. |
