Virtual University always strives to bring more efficient and less time consuming ways of paying tuition fee for its students. In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Virtual University of Pakistan (VU) and FINCA Microfinance Bank Ltd. (FMBL) for the collection of student’s fee with fast and highly accessible solution. Mr. Naeem Tariq, Director Finance, VU and Mr. Shahid Maqsood, Chief Operating Officer, FMBL signed the MoU in a ceremony held on January 15, 2016 at FINCA Microfinance Bank, Lahore. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Masroor Ellahi Babar, Registrar, VU, Dr. Mushtaq Hussain Kazmi, Controller Examination, VU and representatives from both the organizations.

Students enrolled at Virtual University can now pay their fee through FINCA Microfinance Bank Ltd.  (Including retail and all franchisee outlets of UBL Omni i.e. third party service provider). The payments made through retail and franchise network of Agents of FMBL will be confirmed via “SMS Alert”.  An SMS will be sent for the confirmation of payment on the designated Mobile Phone number provided by the relevant VU Student.  Dr. Masroor Ellahi Babar, Registrar VU admired the collaboration between VU and FMBL and stated that MoU would be beneficial for the provision of accessible mode of payment to VU students.
