Virtual University of Pakistan has developed a mobile science laboratory-the first mobile lab for students in the country that will give hands-on experience to students in research of bio-sciences and technology.

Mr. Tahir Mushtaq, Member HR, Ministry of IT & Telecommunications along with Prof. Dr Anwar-ul-Hassan Gillani, ex-Chairman, Pakistan Council for Science & Technology inaugurated Lab on Wheels at M. A. Jinnah Campus Lahore on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.

Dr. Naveed A. Malik, Rector Virtual University of Pakistan briefed the chief guest about the features of Lab on Wheels. He said that VU Lab on Wheels will provide equal wet lab facilities for practical sessions to all students at their doorstep. He further told that this lab would also be utilized for community education and awareness campaigns.

Mr. Tahir Mushtaq lauded first-of-its-kind initiative to promote quality education and encouraging hands-on learning across the country. He also applauded the VU’s mission to encourage the excitement of scientific discoveries and skill development for the students of far flung and economically disadvantaged areas.

Later, the chief guest toured VUTV network and appreciated state of the art set up of Virtual University of Pakistan.
