Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Virtual University of Pakistan (VUP), Gustave Roussy Cancer Center, France and University of Geneva Medical School, Switzerland.

The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Masroor Ellahi Baber, Dean Faculty of Science & Technology, Dr. Stylianos Antonarakis, University of Geneva Medical School and Dr. Sergery Nikolaev, Gustave Roussy Cancer Center, Cedex, France in a ceremony held at M. A. Jinnah Campus Lahore.

Through this MoU, all organizations will establish formal relationship to fight the genetic disorders and explore new therapeutic avenues through cancer research in Pakistan.

Prof. Dr. Abbas Choudhary, Rector Virtual University of Pakistan was also present on the occasion. He termed this partnership as another initiative to push Virtual University of Pakistan to greater heights in the global arena. He extended his gratitude to all guest scientists and emphasized on the need for collaborations and advent of new techniques to counter the menace of the genetic diseases.

The ceremony was also attended by the top officials and faculty of VUP. The ceremony ended with a positive note & conviction that the agreement signed would deliver significant mutual benefits to all organizations.
