Muhammad Sarmad is serving as an Instructor of English at Virtual University of Pakistan. He has done BS (Hons) in English Language & Literature from International Islamic University Islamabad. He has done his M.Phil. in English specializing in Comparative Literature and Psychology. His area of research is based upon attachment and childhood trauma in Pakistani fiction. Previously, he has also attended Military College Murree for four years. Apart from teaching experience of six years at School, College and University, he has also completed a professional course titled, 'TESOL Methodology' from University of Maryland Baltimore County, USA fully funded by US Embassy Islamabad, Pakistan. He has also done certification in TESOL, TEFL, ESP, Islamic Studies and Psychology. In addition to his academic activities, he has been an active member of literary societies, Qirat Club, Dramatics and Debating Societies, Scouting, Horse riding club etc. at college and university. He has been the President of English Literary Society, IIUI and the student editor of the Newsletter of department of English (NODE), IIUI. He loves to read books, to teach, to write stories, essays and to do academic research.
