Mr. Umar Shahzad holds a PhD in Management (with a focus on Human Resource Management) from Air University, Islamabad. He has been affiliated with the Virtual University of Pakistan since 2010 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Sciences. His main areas of teaching and research interest include strategic management, change management, entrepreneurship, and sustainable marketing/business. He has taught various courses in the domain of management and has remained actively involved in the course content development, review and instructional design process along with the supervision of students’ research at undergraduate and MS levels. Before joining VU, he had prior work experience of a few years in the private sector, including that of university academia and the oil & gas sector. He has also presented his research work at the national and international conferences.
