Department of English

Introduction

The Department of English, established in 2018, strives to cultivate a deep understanding of English and its many facets. Our mission is to foster a learning environment that encourages the exploration of language, literature, and linguistics through our degree and diploma programs.

We set up high standards of academic excellence by providing innovative techniques of language learning, including Interactive Communication Technology (ICT) tools to enhance teaching methods and research approaches.

Currently, we are offering a BS Applied Linguistics program and post-graduate diplomas in English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics. Moreover, we plan to initiate new programs in the near future.

As linguistics becomes more and more important in modern technology, our language courses are updated regularly to keep up with the changing trends. The variety of course options provide an opportunity to increase knowledge of global linguistic traditions and trends while opening new avenues for thought.

The Department aims to foster students' learning and research skills, keeping in line with the recent developments in linguistics and English language teaching. Our faculty members, stationed at different cities across Pakistan, are determined to encourage, guide and support students at every step of their educational journey.
