The Department of Psychology, Virtual University of Pakistan in collaboration with the Department of Sociology and Mass Communication organized a one-day seminar on “Mental Health Promotion and Suicide Prevention” at Virtual University of Pakistan on 22nd October, 2019. Mental health day is celebrated internationally in the month of October every year and the theme of this year is suicide prevention. Suicide is a prevailing issue in our society resulting in a significant number of deaths; therefore, considering the significance of the issue, this seminar was organized. The speakers of this seminar were renowned clinical practitioners; Dr. Iram Zehra Bokharey and Dr. Usman Amin Hotiana.
