Objectives

The Associate Degree Program in Business Analytics is aimed at:

  1. Equipping students with the skills to analyze and interpret large datasets using advanced tools and techniques, enabling them to extract actionable insights for decision-making.
  2. Providing a strong foundation in programming, statistics, and business analytics using languages and tools.
  3. Enhancing problem-solving skills by developing analytical, logical, and critical thinking for identifying various data and analysis-related issues at hand.
  4. Developing students' proficiency in business knowledge and technical writing, as well as their communication skills, to ensure they can convey analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  5. Developing ethical and social values along with communication and presentation skills for a successful career as a business analyst.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Minimum 45% marks in Intermediate/12 years education/A- Level (HSSC) or Equivalent with Mathematics are required for admission in Associate Degree Program in Business Analytics. An equivalency certificate by IBCC will be required in case of education from some other country or system.
  2. The students who have not studied Mathematics at the intermediate level have to pass deficiency courses in Mathematics (06 credits) in the first two semesters.

Assessment Criteria

The students study progress evaluation mechanism is based on continuous assessment throughout the semester by giving assignments, quizzes, Graded Discussion Boards (GDBs), mid-term and final-term examinations.

Award of Degree

To be eligible for the award of an Associate Degree in Business Analytics, a student is required to complete at least 72 credit hours with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.00 out of 4.00.

Project / Internship / Practicals

Students are not required to indulge in a Project /Internship
