Mehfil-e-Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) Held at Virtual University of Pakistan

The Debating and Character-Building Society of Virtual University of Pakistan organized a Mehfil-e-Seerat-un-Nabi (SAW) at the M.A. Jinnah Campus on Thursday, 26th September 2024. The event saw the participation of over 100 attendees, both in person and online.

Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti (S.I., T.I.), Rector of Virtual University, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his address, Prof. Dr. Bhatti, Rector VUP highlighted the significance of adopting the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) for a successful and fulfilling life. He also commended the organizing team for arranging such an impactful seminar.

Senior management and faculty members, including Dr. Ambreen Anjum, Associate Professor, Department of Psychology; Dr. Baber Ali, GM VUTV; Ms. Rubina Ali, GM Marketing; and Abdul Quddoos Durrani, Incharge, Department of Islamic Studies, were also present.

The guest speaker, Molana Fida Ur Rehman, a renowned Shariah Scholar and religious speaker, delivered an insightful lecture on the life of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), emphasizing the importance of mannerism, avoiding discrimination, and following the Prophet's (SAW) teachings in daily life.

The faculty members and students of the Department of Psychology also recited Darood-o-Salam, offering a heartfelt tribute to Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

As the Mehfil came to a close, Abdul Quddoos Durrani, Incharge of the Department of Islamic Studies, led a closing dua, invoking blessings and guidance for all. A commemorative souvenir was then presented to the guest speaker, Molana Fida Ur Rehman, in appreciation of his insightful and inspiring contribution to the event.
