Webinar: Impact of COVID-19 on Pakistan’s Economy

Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization in collaboration with Department of Management Sciences, Virtual University of Pakistan have organized a Webinar on "Impact of COVID-19 on Pakistan’s Economy: Current & Future Implications".

Covid-19 harmed the global economy because the world experienced the most difficult economic situation since World War-II. Also, many experts on economic and financial matters have warned about the worsening condition of global economic and financial structure. Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of International Monitory Fund (IMF), explained that “a recession at least as bad as during the Global Financial Crisis or worse”. Most of the nations are going through recession and collapse of their economic structure that points out the staggering conditions for them in this regard almost 80 countries have already requested International Monetary Fund (IMF) for financial help.
 

Main Objectives of the Webinar are:
1. How Covid-19 has affected the global economy?
2. What are the Covid-19’s current and future implications for Pakistan’s economy?
3. Economic measures taken by the Government so far are enough?
