The Department of Sociology, Virtual University of Pakistan arranged a webinar on “Public Health Policies and Community Response towards COVID-19” on 21^st August, 2020.The purpose of the webinar was to explore the areas of social care and the responsibilities of the community during COVID-19 and to analyze the public health policies and practices by discussing social and economic challenges and opportunities. Prof. Dr. Rubeena Zakar (Director Institute of Social and Cultural Studies, University of the Punjab), Dr Muhammad Zaman (Chairman, Department of Sociology, QAU Islamabad) and Dr. Parveen Ali (Senior Lecturer, University of Sheffield, UK) were keynote speakers of the webinar.
