Webinar on Safe Migration Pathways

Department of Sociology, Virtual University of Pakistan hosted a webinar on "Safe Migration Pathways" on June 27th, 2024, at 02:30 pm which was a joint venture with the Migrant Resource Centre, Lahore. Ms. Umama Khalid, lecturer Sociology department, moderated this session. The webinar featured expert resource persons, including Farhan Mehmood from the Migrant Resource Center and Ms. Nadia Kashif, who shared their knowledge and insights on safe migration pathways for students and workers seeking to pursue their studies or careers abroad. This event aims to provide participants with informed guidance and support to navigate the complexities of international migration, promoting a safer and more informed approach to this vital aspect of global mobility. The question-answer session that followed allowed participants to engage with the resource persons, clarifying any doubts and misconceptions they may have had about the process of safe migration. The session was well-received, with participants appreciating the valuable information and insights shared by the experts.
