Introduction

The Biotechnology sector is fast-moving, often at the frontiers of science, thus needs imaginative and capable biotechnologists and life scientists. The Department of Biotechnology focuses on fulfilling the needs of one of the most exciting and rapidly expanding fields of human knowledge today. The curriculum is created to provide students a solid comprehension of the theory as well as technical proficiency with relation to the procedures used in the biotechnology sector. In order to increase their prospects of landing a job in the business sector, the faculty mixes the underlying theory with project work and research. Department has highly qualified and experienced human resource staff involved actively in various research activities including Genomics, Proteomics, Enzymology and Fermentation. Bachelors of Science in Biotechnology enables the graduates to work in a variety of Biotechnology-related professions, including vaccine development businesses, food and pharmaceutical industries, diagnostic labs for biotechnology and genetic engineering research.
