Introduction

The Department of Computer Science & Information Technology was established in 2002 to meet the ever growing demand for well-qualified computer professionals. The department is providing highest quality of education and research opportunities by offering various graduate and under-graduate study programs in distance learning environment to all aspiring students by using state of the art information and communication technologies. The programs are specifically designed as per HEC guidelines to design and develop quality software solutions in order to meet the requirements of local and international market.

The Department of CS&IT is the largest department of the university in terms of number of students enrolled and faculty members available for the students. The department employs full time faculty members including members who have obtained their doctorate degrees from reputable universities of the world, as well as adjunct faculty from around the country to develop and deliver CS&IT courses.
