Ms. Amtul Mateen is associated with the Virtual University of Pakistan as a lecturer (Commerce) in the Department of Management Sciences since 2005. She was nominated by the university as the focal person for the HEC anti-plagiarism service (Turnitin) in July 2009. She served as a member and secretary of Committee on Unfair Means and the Disciplinary Advisory Committee of the university from 2008 to 2017. She has been serving as focal person and secretary of the Advanced Studies and Research Board since 2018 to date. Currently, she is enrolled as a Ph.D. candidate (course work completed) after doing an M.Phil. in accounting and finance in 2014. She completed her master's degree in commerce with a specialization in finance from Hailey College of Commerce, University of the Punjab, in 1997–2000. She obtained a postgraduate diploma in cost and management accounting from Hailey College of Commerce, University of the Punjab, in 1998. She has also completed ACMA Foundations I and II from the Institute of Chartered and Management Accountants in 2000. She possesses more than 20 years of professional experience in practical life, out of which she spent almost five years performing duties as an accounts executive and chief accountant at Cyber Internet Services (PVT) Ltd. (Lakson Group of Companies) and Asiatics Group of Companies. |
