Waqar ul Hassan is a dedicated educator and researcher in the field of economics, currently serving as an Instructor/Tutor at the Department of Economics, Virtual University of Pakistan. With a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Economics from Government College University Lahore and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Economics from the University of Sargodha, Waqar has a strong academic foundation. Waqar completed his MPhil in Economics at Government College University Lahore, where he focused on studying the factors influencing antenatal care and skilled birth attendants among childbearing women in Pakistan, with funding support from UNFPA. His research abilities were further demonstrated during his undergraduate studies at the University of Sargodha, where he conducted insightful analyses on stunted growth in under-five children. Throughout his academic and professional journey, Waqar has authored and co-authored numerous manuscripts and term papers on various topics, including healthcare utilization and economic recovery post-Covid19. Outside of academia, Waqar has gained diverse experience through roles such as working as a freelance venue staff member at the British Council and interning at the Planning & Development Board, Government of Punjab. These experiences have equipped him with a versatile skill set, including data analysis and project management. Committed to social causes and community service, Waqar actively engages in extracurricular activities, such as participating in the 18th Youth Parliament Pakistan and promoting interfaith harmony and healthcare awareness initiatives. His dedication to lifelong learning is evident through his pursuit of additional courses and certifications, further enhancing his professional development.
