Virtual University of Pakistan Holds 32nd Academic Council Meeting at Islamabad Head Office

Islamabad, October 25, 2024 – The Virtual University of Pakistan (VUP) convened its 32nd Academic Council meeting at its Islamabad Head Office, addressing 88 agenda items focused on strengthening academic programs and advancing educational standards. Key topics included revisions to BS programs and the introduction of new Associate Degree programs. The council also approved the launch of two new Master of Science programs in Biotechnology and Mathematics.

The meeting was chaired by the Rector of the Virtual University, Prof. Dr. Arshad Saleem Bhatti (S.I., T.I.), alongside Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Javed, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology.

Distinguished external educationists in attendance included Prof. Dr. Shafeeq ur-Rehman, Vice Chancellor of the University of Haripur; Prof. Dr. Rubeena from Quaid-e-Azam University; and Dr. Abdul Basit from the University of Baluchistan, who shared valuable insights from their respective fields.

The council reaffirmed VUP’s commitment to providing accessible, high-quality education across diverse disciplines and emphasized its dedication to academic excellence and innovation in higher education.
