Dear Students,

We are pleased to announce that the Virtual University of Pakistan students are now eligible to apply for the HEC – Prime Minister’s Laptop Scheme 2025. Please carefully read the important details below before submitting your application:

Portal Activation: The application portal is currently being updated to accommodate Virtual University students. We anticipate that the HEC portal will be fully operational for VU applicants within the next 2–3 working days.

Application Instructions: When applying, please ensure that you select "Main Campus" during the application process. This is essential because VU operates a centralized enrollment system and does not have regional campuses.

Eligibility Criteria: Students must meet the eligibility requirements set by the Higher Education Commission (HEC). You can review the official eligibility criteria at the following link:

Merit-Based Selection: Students should be aware that meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee the award of a laptop. Laptops will be awarded strictly on merit among eligible applicants.
