Professor Dr. Nasir Mahmood, Vice Chancellor of AIOU, has officially assumed charge as the Interim Rector of Virtual University of Pakistan. He was warmly welcomed by senior management at the VU Head Office, Islamabad.

During his visit, Dr. Mahmood toured various departments, interacted with faculty and staff, and received briefings on VU’s ongoing initiatives, digital learning strategies, and future plans.

With over 25 years of experience in education, he has a strong background in teaching, research, and administration. As VC of AIOU, he played a key role in advancing distance education and modern teaching methodologies.

The VU community looks forward to his leadership in driving the university’s growth and innovation.
