The 4-day STEM Winter Boot Camp for kids, organized by the Professional Development Center (PDC) of Virtual University of Pakistan, successfully concluded at SOS Children’s Village, Dhodial, Mansehra. The training sessions were led by Mr. Waqar Ahmad (Lecturer, Computer Science, Virtual University of Pakistan) with the support of Assistant Trainer Mr. Muhammad Hammad.
This interactive and hands-on program introduced young learners to the fascinating realms of Robotics and Circuit Design through activities such as:
• Constructing LED circuits using Arduino
• Developing automated water dispensers
• Creating line-following robot cars with Arduino
• Designing circuits via TinkerCAD
The closing ceremony was graced by esteemed guests, including Prof. Dr. Ather Azim Khan (Registrar, Virtual University of Pakistan), Mr. Khawar Abbas (Manager Accounts, Virtual University of Pakistan), Mrs. Farzana Irum (Manager PDC, Virtual University of Pakistan), Mrs. Khola Mustafa (Chairperson, SOS Village, Dhodial), Mrs. Zohra, Mrs. Saghira Khalid, and Ms. Bushra (Director, SOS Village, Dhodial). They praised the students for their innovation and enthusiasm, encouraging them to pursue further learning in STEM disciplines.
To honor their efforts and accomplishments, Certificates of Completion were presented to all participants.
