South Africa, May 5, 2025 – Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Javed, Dean of the Faculty of Science & Technology and Director of the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (ORIC) at the Virtual University of Pakistan (VUP), participated as a keynote speaker at the 2nd International Higher Education Teaching, Learning, and Student Support Conference 2025, held in South Africa.
The conference brought together leading academics, researchers, and higher education leaders from around the world to explore emerging trends in teaching, learning, and student engagement in the digital age. A significant milestone was achieved during the event as the Virtual University of Pakistan signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the University of South Africa (UNISA), marking the beginning of a promising academic collaboration and strategic partnership between the two institutions.
The LoI was signed by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Javed; Prof. Seekoe, Acting Vice President (TLCESS); Prof. MD Magano, Executive Director of the Directorate for Teaching, Support and Foundation Learning (DTSFL); along with representatives from the International Offices of both UNISA and VUP.
Highlighting the importance of global academic cooperation, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mohsin Javed stated:
