Mr. Muhammad Imran is currently a PhD scholar of English Applied Linguistics in Shanghai University China. He completed his MPhil in Applied Linguistics in 2016 from Lahore Leads University, Pakistan. In 2009, he completed his Master in English (Linguistics & Literature) from National University of Modern Languages Islamabad. In 2013, he completed his Master in English Language Teaching and Linguistics (ELTL) from University of the Punjab Lahore.He started his teaching career as an English Instructor at Ahmad Hassan Polytechnic Institute, Lahore in 2009. He started teaching in University of the Punjab Lahore in 2014 as a visiting faculty member. From 2015-16, he has also been teaching as a visiting faculty member in Govt. College of Technology Railway Station Lahore. He is currently working as an English Instructor at Virtual University of Pakistan.
He has designed four MA ELT courses and has also developed two full courses (Semantics & Pragmatics and Introduction to Linguistics). These lectures are televised via VUoP TV Channels.
Mr. Imran is a published author of four articles. He has also presented his two research papers in international conferences.
His research interests lie in Anthropological Linguistics, Discourse Analysis, Language Education, and Language Planning. He is a member of VU-Bytes, VU quarterly student Magazine, and VU Sports Committee.
