Dr. Sufian Aslam:
Professor
Dr. Sufian Aslam, who currently serves as the Dean of Sciences and chairs the
Department of Physics at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) in Lahore,
completed his undergraduate studies at the Department of Physics, University of
Punjab, in 1973. Subsequently, he obtained his Master of Science (MS) degree in
Atomic and Molecular Physics from the University of Sofia in Bulgaria and
earned his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Physics and Mathematics from
Moscow State University in Russia.
Prior to his tenure at Forman Christian College, he held diverse roles
in the academic, educational, and research sectors, with notable contributions
at institutions such as Quaid-i-Azam University and Pakistan Council of
Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR). Additionally, he worked as a shadow
trainer for A-level physics with Cambridge International Examinations, in
collaboration with the British Council. Furthermore, he has authored numerous
research articles published in reputable scientific journals. His professional
involvement extends to his role as the Associate Editor for the Journal of the
Pakistan Society of Semiconductor Science and Technology, and he has twice
served as the General Secretary of the Pakistan Physical Society.
At Forman Christian College, he serves as the Dean, overseeing the
advancement of the sciences, which includes curriculum development, and he is
actively involved in teaching physics courses at both the undergraduate and
graduate levels. Additionally, he is the author of several books, and further
details about his publications are provided below.

by Marfua Tokhtakhadjaeva, which has been translated from Russian to English by
Sufian Aslam, was published by Shirkat Gah in Lahore in 1995 and spans 268
pages.
4. The
book titled "The Daughters of Amazons: Voices from Central Asia,"
authored by Marfua Tokhtakhadjaeva and translated from Russian to English by
Sufian Aslam, was published by Shirkat Gah in Lahore in 1996. The book
comprises 236 pages.
Dr. Dildar Ahmed Alvi:
He currently
holds the position of Professor and serves as the Chairman of the Department of
Chemistry at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University)
in Lahore. He was also a former dean of the faculty of
natural sciences. He earned his
PhD from the HEJ Research Institute of Chemistry, University of Karachi. His
teaching focus encompasses areas such as Organic Chemistry, Reaction Mechanism,
Natural Products Chemistry, and Spectroscopy. In the realm of research, he is
primarily interested in Natural Products, Herbal Medicines, Organic Synthesis,
and Bioactivities. He has a noteworthy publication record, having authored over
80 research papers in internationally recognized peer-reviewed
journals.
Dr. Saba Butt:
She is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences
at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) in Lahore. In this
capacity, she imparts her expertise through the instruction of diverse courses
to students majoring in biology and biotechnology. These courses encompass
subjects such as animal physiology, endocrinology, microbiology, industrial
microbiology, cell biology, and biostatistics. Her academic pursuits extend to
the realm of research, with interests in human and animal physiology,
endocrinology, and microbiology. She is also interested in research about teaching
methodologies and use of technology in education. As part of her commitment to education, she has created several
educational blogs, Facebook groups, and pages to aid in the teaching of various
subjects.
Before joining Forman Christian
College, she spent four years at Kinnaird College for Women in Lahore, where
she held the position of Lecturer. During her tenure, she taught a multitude of
courses and provided guidance to students in the fields of physiology,
microbiology, and public health. Her educational
journey culminated in the attainment of a PhD degree in the field of human
physiology and endocrinology from the University of the Punjab in Lahore in the
year 2010. Prior to that, she worked as a Research Scholar for two years in the
Zoology Department of the University of Punjab.
