Kashif Javed received the BSc, MSc and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1999, 2004, and 2012 respectively, from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan. He joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at UET in 1999,  where he currently serves as a Professor.  He has published a number of articles in reputed international journals hosted by IEEE, PLoS, Springer, and Elsevier. He is currently acting as a Reviewer for many journals published by the IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer. His research interests include machine learning and natural language processing. He has co-authored a book entitled "ARM Microprocessor Systems Cortex-M: Architecture, Programming, and Interfacing". He has also worked at Mentor Graphics as an embedded engineer.
