Salma Amjad is an e-instructor in the Department of Pakistan Studies. She has been working at the Virtual University of Pakistan since 2015. Before joining Virtual University of Pakistan, she has served in the Department of Pol. Science/ Pak. Studies/ IR, Lahore College for Women University, Lahore from 2011 to 2015. She has obtained the Degree of M.Phil. Pakistan Studies (2013-2015) from University of the Punjab and her area of research is “United States-India Strategic Partnership 2001-2010: Implications for Pakistan”. She did Masters in Pakistan Studies (2009-2011) from University of the Punjab, Lahore and achieved another Masters Degree in Women’s Studies (2005-2007) under the Department of Gender Studies from University of the Punjab with her thesis on “Problems of Rural Peasant Women in Agriculture Sector”. She has worked in two NGOs namely, AGHS Legal Aid Cell & Dastak (Shelter Home) as an active internee in 2007. She has attended various workshops, seminars and webinars regarding research & teaching training programs. She has also worked as Secretary of Committee of Unfair Means in 2019. She has conducted one day training workshop on “Skills Enhancement for Test Items Development and Assessment” for Social Sciences and Humanities Department on May, 2017. She is also a member of the Quiz Society of Virtual University of Pakistan. She is focus to upgrade her education & professional skills to excel in teaching and research field. |
