Dr. Muhammad Umair Raouf has been serving at the Virtual University of Pakistan since 2019. Prior to joining the Virtual University, he held the position of Subject Specialist of Islamic Studies at the Association for Academic Quality (AFAQ) in Pakistan. During his tenure at AFAQ, he developed and reviewed over 15 textbooks and curricula for key stages 3-10. Additionally, he was a member of the Character-Building Curriculum (CBC) Review and Development Committee.
Dr. Muhammad Umair Raouf’s previous academic roles include serving as a faculty member in the Department of Arabic and Islamic Studies at Government College University, Lahore. He also dedicated four years to teaching at the CIMS Group of Colleges, Lahore, where he lectured on a variety of compulsory and elective subjects such as Islamic Banking and Finance, Islamic Economic and Political Systems, and Ethics at both the graduate and postgraduate levels, including B.A, B.COM, BBA, BSCS, BSIT, M.A, MBA, and M.COM programs.
Dr. Muhammad Umair Raouf holds two master's degrees: one in Islamic Studies and another in Arabic Language and Literature from the University of the Punjab, Lahore. He completed his M.Phil. in Islamic Studies in 2016 and earned his Ph.D. in Islamic Studies in 2023 from Government College University, Lahore. His primary area of research interest is As-Sirah An-Nabawiyyah (The Biography of the Holy Prophet PBUH).
Dr. Muhammad Umair Raouf is dedicated to serving Islam and Pakistan through all available platforms, with a mission to prepare a purposeful generation committed to the service of Islam and the nation. |
