Ms. Qurat Ul Ain is currently working as Instructor in Department of Biological Sciences, Virtual University of Pakistan. She did her BSc. (Hons.), Biotechnology and MPhil in Biotechnology from Institute of Industrial Biotechnology (IIB), Government College University, Lahore. She joined Virtual University of Pakistan as Research associate in 2018 and later promoted to the post of Tutor/Instructor. She has expertise in Molecular biology and Biotechnology field. She is a keen researcher with advance scientific knowledge and skills. She has experience of working with experts of her field in top ranked institutes of UK including The Royal Veterinary College, University of London, University of Cambridge and The Francis Crick Institute, London UK as Commonwealth PhD Scholar. She has competency with advanced Molecular biology techniques including CRISPR genome editing, Bovine IVF, Cell culturing, Gene cloning and expression, Gene sequencing, SNPs analysis, Real-time PCR (qRT-PCR), Gene expression analysis, Gel electrophoresis, RFLP, DNA fingerprinting, DNA barcoding and phylogenetic analysis. She has research papers published in recognized impact factor peer reviewed National and International journals. She has experience of teaching various courses including Cell Biology, Molecular biology, Essentials of Genetics, Developmental biology and Genetic resources and conservation to graduate students. She is also supervising BS students as project supervisor and postgraduate students working on various domains of Biotechnology, Molecular biology, Virology and Genetics. |
