Dr. Anum Awan is serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Faculty of Arts, Virtual University of Pakistan. She holds a PhD in Sociology and is actively involved in undergraduate teaching and academic research. Her academic specialization is Sociology, with core research interests in gender studies, career success, and globalization. Dr. Awan’s research focuses on women’s leadership, workplace discrimination, cultural change, and the social positioning of professional women in Pakistan. Her scholarly work critically examines issues such as hijab at the workplace, impression management strategies of women leaders, and signs of cultural lag in urban Pakistani society. She has published her research in HEC-recognized academic journals (Categories X and Y), contributing to the broader understanding of gender, work, and social transformation in contemporary Pakistan.
