I am Dr. Nida Ayaz, a passionate educator and researcher from Mardan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, specializing in Educational Psychology. With a PhD in this field, my work explores the Meta-cognitive aspects of learning, aiming to enhance educational practices. I am a lifetime member of the International Society for Development and Sustainability (Japan), United People Global (Switzerland), and QUVAE Research and Publications, and proudly serve as the Ambassador of the International Youth Conferences (New York).
Beyond my academic work, I am an experienced oral presenter at international conferences, and a first-place winner in provincial English speech competitions in Pakistan. I am also a dedicated journal reviewer, author of research articles, and a book chapter contributor. My professional journey includes completing two specialized courses at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research.
As the Champion of the Climate Action Fellowship 2024 (in collaboration with the US Embassy and Aga Khan University), I have led impactful climate initiatives in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. I also authored the environmental fiction ''The Last Valley'' and actively contribute as a blogger and columnist for IBC English. |

Improving Classroom Learning Environment for Enhancing Reading Comprehension through Metacognitive Strategies
|
This study investigated the role of metacognitive strategies in improving classroom learning
environment. The study also find out the effects of metacognitive strategies in developing student’s
interest in reading comprehension. Action research was adopted by selecting grade fifth thirty
students (age 10-11 years). WIHIC interview and documentation were used for collection of data.
Data was analyzed through reflections and content analysis. Data showed improvement in learning
environment of classroom for reading comprehension of the students.

Interlinking Metacognition with University Students’ Academic Achievements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan

Association between metacognitive awareness and student`s academic achievements was investigated through undertaking objectives and hypotheses on Low, Average and High achievers in addition to assess the effects of metacognition awareness level on student`s academic achievement. Research studies are recommended in subjects other than English and Mathematics.
