Analysis of Artificial Nest Inhabitancy and Factors Affecting Their Inhabitation of Different Avian Species in UvasC-Block Pattoki Pakistan
This study investigated bird inhabitation in artificial nests at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pattoki. Sixty artificial nests were installed at five sites, including roads, barren land, ponds, buildings, and agricultural land. Over three months, only 12 nests (20%) were occupied, primarily at the pond and botanical garden sites. The study found that bird nest occupancy is influenced by natural and anthropogenic factors such as water, food, human activities, and predators. These findings contribute to bird conservation and wildlife management strategies.
