I am Dr. Amber Asghar, currently serving as the Incharge of the Department of Statistics at the Virtual University of Pakistan, where I have been a part of the academic community since 2007. My journey in statistics began with a Master’s degree from the University of Punjab, followed by an early teaching role as a lecturer at Mister College.
In 2013, I completed my M.Phil. in Statistics, and in 2018, I earned my Ph.D. from NCBA&E. During my doctoral studies, I was honored to receive an HEC scholarship, which gave me the incredible opportunity to conduct a portion of my research at McGill University, Canada. That international exposure greatly enriched my academic perspective and deepened my commitment to research, particularly in the area of innovative techniques in survey sampling and applied Statistics.
With over a decade of experience in teaching and research, I remain passionate about advancing statistical education and supporting students in becoming critical thinkers and skilled analysts in this data-driven world. |
