The 4th Board of Studies Meeting in English was held on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Board Room, Virtual University of Pakistan, Islamabad. Dr. Faisal Tehseen Shah, (Dean, Faculty of Arts; Controller Examination), warmly welcomed all the esteemed board members. The meeting brought together a diverse group of educational professionals and experts in the fields of English language and literature. Prof. Dr. Shamaila Dodhy, Institute of English Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Prof. Dr. Mustansir Ahmad, Department of English, Hazara University Mansehra, KPK and Prof. Dr Habibullah Pathan, Sohar University, Oman attended the meeting in person, whereas Dr. Muhammad Islam, Associate Professor/Consultant, Faculty of English, Riphah International University, Lahore and Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naseem, Dean, University of Baluchistan, Quetta attended online.
Dr. Qurrat-ul-Ain, Incharge, Department of English, presented the agendas before the members. The agendas included Associate Degree in English Applied Linguistics, BS English (Applied Linguistics) and BS English Literature. The later two agendas were presented after revision according to HEC’s revised undergraduate policy. The fourth, M.Phil. working agenda was also presented at the meeting. The Board members provided valuable insight on all four agendas and granted approval for the first three.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks.
