The Department of Economics at the Virtual University of Pakistan organized an online orientation session on 27th October, 2025 to welcome new students enrolled in the semester Fall 2025. Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, the in-charge of the Department of Economics, opened the session with a warm welcome address and shared valuable information with attendees. Miss. Anam Alamdar hosted the event while Mr. Farooq Ahmed, Dr. Shakeel Ahmed, Ms. Anam Alamdar, and Ms. Kanwal Zahid guided the students regarding their studies through presentations. The event concluded with a live question-and-answer session, addressing students' queries.
The session delivered a comprehensive exposition of the study framework at the Virtual University, along with detailed guidance and insights into the degree programmes available in the field of Economics. More than 100 students joined the session. Faculty members highlighted the major elements of the curriculum, academic resources, and student support services—thereby ensuring that learners are thoroughly equipped for success in their academic endeavours. This initiative reflects the Department’s unwavering commitment to steering students towards academic excellence in the discipline of Economics.
