Prompt Engineering: Using Artificial Intelligence (AI)
A webinar titled “Prompt Engineering: Using Artificial Intelligence” was organized by the Faculty of Education, Virtual University of Pakistan, on October 9, 2025, under the supervision of Dr. Sumbal Asghar. This session marked the second installment of the five-part e-webinar series.
The webinar began with a warm and insightful welcome from Dr. Sumbal Asghar, In-Charge of the Department, who highlighted the growing significance of prompt engineering as a key skill for effectively leveraging Artificial Intelligence in educational settings.
The session featured Dr. Hina Amin as the resource person, who delivered an engaging and impactful presentation. With her strong expertise and practical demonstrations, she enhanced participants’ understanding of prompt engineering concepts, types of prompts, strategies for evaluating AI-generated responses, and its practical applications in teaching, learning, and research.
To gauge participant learning, both pre- and post-assessments were conducted. The webinar drew an enthusiastic audience of approximately 270–300 participants, including faculty, students, researchers, and international attendees, reflecting the global relevance and wide interest in the topic.
The webinar concluded with a lively Q&A session, encouraging meaningful interaction between Dr. Hina Amin and the participants. The Department of Education reaffirms its commitment to fostering AI-driven educational innovation and looks forward to continuing this impactful e-webinar series.
