Empowering Faculty Excellence: A 3-Day Training and Development Program by the Faculty of Management

The Faculty of Management, in collaboration with the Directorate of Quality Enhancement (DQE), organized a 3-day training & development program for the skill enhancement of the faculty of the Department of Management Sciences and the Department of Public Administration from October 09 to October 11, 2023. The program was designed to address current issues, new developments, and the best practices in business education and research.

Sessions of Day 1 focused on Analyzing the Course of Business Education in Pakistan. In the first session, Dr. Muhammad Jam-e- Kausar Ali Asghar discussed the future of business education by presenting an overview of the opportunities and challenges being offered by the changing landscape of the educational ecosystem of Pakistan. The second session by Dr. Zeeshan Ali unfolded the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence in education. In the last session, Dr. Muhammad Rizwan Saleem discussed the art of generating business ideas.

Sessions of Day 2 revolved around the theme ‘Navigating the Digital Frontier of E-Learning and Well-Being’, where Dr. Fakhur ul Inam trained faculty members on designing personalized e-learning experiences using a quantitative framework. Mr. Awais Imam and Ms. Amara Awan provided hands-on training on e-learning authoring tools. In the last session, Dr. Bisma Ejaz spoke on mental health and stress management at the workplace.

On Day 3, with a focus on Building Professional Competence and Conflict Resolution Skills, Dr. Naveed Ahmed explained the importance and mechanism of SAR in educational institutions, and Dr. Rizwan Qaiser Danish discussed conflict management in the workplace.

The 3-days training and development program proved to be a resounding success, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth among faculty members. The knowledge gained from these sessions aimed at shaping the future of education at the institution and driving the faculty toward new heights of excellence.
