Students can apply only in designated city/region. Each city will have its own merit. If any student wants to apply for more than one city, he/she must apply separately. They will not allow to go for practical other than merit city after admission.

Admission Instructions for New Applicants:
- Eligibility Criteria for Admission
Applicants must meet the minimum prescribed admission requirements for the chosen study program as published on the VU website. Applicants should ensure they have the following:
- Valid CNIC/B-Form Number: Provide a scanned copy (not a mobile photo).
- Valid Email Address: Preferably the applicant's own.
- Cell Phone Number: Preferably the applicant's own.
- Applicant’s Photograph: Passport-size with a blue background, scanned (not a mobile photo).
- Educational Documents: Scanned copies with clear readability (not mobile photos).
- Equivalence Certificate: Required from IBCC or HEC for A/O Level or foreign degree holders, if applicable.
- Course Exemption Documents (if applicable):
- Original NOC from the previous institution.
- Original incomplete result card.
- Course content details for credit transfer applicants.
- Foreign or Dual National Applicants: Must complete all formalities with HEC and relevant authorities. Visit VU Foreign Admissions for details.
- INFORMATION FOR MERIT BASED PROGRAMS
- Biological Science Programs:
- Applicants for BS Bioinformatics, BS Biotechnology, BS Zoology, Diploma in Bioinformatics, and Diploma in Molecular Biology must select lab preferences carefully as merit is determined LAB-wise.
- Lab city preferences cannot be changed after admission confirmation.
- Merit List Publication:
- Merit lists for Biological Science and MS Programs will be published on the VU website as per the admission schedule.
- Fee Submission:
- Successful candidates must deposit fees within the specified date published in Admission Schedule.
- Admission through Course Exemption/Transfer of credit:
- General Route:
- Applicants with incomplete degrees from VU or other HEC-recognized universities/institutions may apply for transfer of credit hours/course exemptions as per the University policy.
- Such applicants will submit a hard copy of the Course Exemption Proforma with the original NOC, incomplete transcript, and course content at the time of application to the Registrar’s office, Lahore.
- BS Entry Route:
- Applicants holding a 2-year Associate Degree/BA/BSc can apply for 4-year BS programs per university policy.
- GENERAL INFORMATION
- Admissions open as per the published schedule.
- Enter the correct CNIC/B-Form number during registration to avoid rejection.
- Late submission of admission forms will not be entertained.
- Documents must be uploaded as per instructions.
- Incomplete applications will be rejected; ensure all documents are clear and complete.
- Applicants already enrolled in VU must cancel previous admissions before applying again.
- Submit the admission fee for only one form; submitting multiple program fees may lead to cancellation of all applications.
- Accurate information is mandatory. False information may lead to blacklisting and confiscation of fees/degrees.
- The University reserves the right to reject incomplete applications or those submitted after the due date.
NOTE:
- Biological Science programs and related diplomas are NOT available for overseas applicants.
- Zero Semester is not applicable for certain programs, including MS Computer Science, MBA (Eq. to MS), BS English, and others listed on the VU website.
- Submission of Hard Copy Documents (Provisionally Admitted Students)
Provisionally admitted students must submit hard copies of the following documents before the mid-semester examinations for Spring 2025:
- Attested copies of educational documents (two sets).
- CNIC/B-Form (two copies).
- Two passport-size photographs with a blue background.
- Equivalence certificates (if applicable).
- Failure to submit required documents before the mid-semester exams Spring 2025 may result in admission cancellation
- Ensure clarity and accuracy when uploading documents to avoid inconvenience.
- The University reserves the right to reject incomplete applications without providing additional chances for completion.
- Admissions are not available for result-awaiting applicants in the current session.
Submission of Educational Documents:
All provisionally admitted students shall submit hard copy of their documents at the nearest selected Virtual University campus
OR the Registrar’s Office /Admission Office, Virtual University of Pakistan, Sir Syed Memorial Building, G-5/1, Ataturk Avenue, Islamabad
OR Virtual University of Pakistan, M.A. Jinnah Campus, Defence Road, Off Raiwind Road, Lahore.
